Ketamine Infusion Treatment

Intravenous (IV) ketamine infusions are not FDA-approved for the treatment of mental health or chronic pain conditions. Ketamine infusions for these conditions is considered off-label use. Unfortunately, at this time, most insurance companies do not cover ketamine infusions for the treatment of mental health and chronic pain conditions. Therefore, these treatments are currently considered an out-of-pocket expense and payment is due prior to treatment. Please see Payment Plan options below for additional information.

Ketamine Infusion Therapy for Mental Health Conditions

Studies show that a single IV ketamine infusion can reduce symptoms for up to one week. Repeated dosing, however, can increase the duration of effect for at least several weeks. Our mental health protocol for ketamine infusion therapy consists of the following:

  • Induction Phase: Series of six 40-minute infusions over 2-3 weeks to provide immediate relief of your symptoms.
  • Maintenance Phase: If your symptoms have improved you may benefit from maintenance therapy, consisting of a single 40-minute infusion every 4-6 weeks or longer depending on the length of your response to the initial therapy.
  • Infusions typically start at 0.5 mg/kg of ketamine and are adjusted based on patient response.
  • Appointment duration: approximately one hour and 15 minutes.
  • Cost per infusion: $325

Ketamine Infusion Therapy for Chronic Pain Conditions

Compared to the treatment of mental health conditions, studies have shown that higher total dosages of ketamine with longer infusion times are generally associated with a longer duration of pain relief. Our chronic pain protocol for ketamine infusion therapy consists of the following:

  • Induction Phase: Single two-hour infusion to provide immediate treatment of your symptoms.
  • Maintenance Phase: If your symptoms have improved you may benefit from maintenance therapy, consisting of a single two-hour infusion. The frequency of maintenance therapy will depend, in part, on the length of response to the initial therapy.
  • High-dose infusions are adjusted based on patient response.
  • Appointment duration: approximately two hours and 45 minutes.
  • Cost per infusion: $700
