Bradley Silva, MD

Bradley Silva, MD, is a double board-certified anesthesiology and pain medicine physician at Lakeshore Pain and Spine Center in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Dr. Silva graduated from the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University where he was elected a member of Alpha Omega Alpha (ΑΩΑ), the national honor society in the field of medicine. Thereafter, Dr. Silva completed both his residency training in anesthesiology and fellowship training in interventional pain medicine at the University of Chicago. Dr. Silva has co-authored multiple book chapters on pain medicine as well as presented at national conferences. He is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA), the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine (ASRA), the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians (ASIPP), and the American Society of Ketamine Physicians, Psychotherapists & Practitioners
(ASKP3).

Prior to his career as a physician, Dr. Silva was a practicing lawyer. He graduated from the George Washington University Law School with honors and returned to his hometown of Chicago to work in litigation. While ultimately deciding that his passion was in medicine, Dr. Silva’s experience advocating for people in high-stress situations has given him a unique perspective in caring for patients with chronic pain. Dr. Silva believes that patient advocacy and compassion are as important to patient care as his clinical skills.

The cause of a patient’s pain and their actual experience of pain are highly complex biological processes and can vary widely between patients. That is why merely reviewing a patient’s x-rays without speaking to and examining them would never be sufficient to adequately treat their pain. Dr. Silva is a proponent of the multi-disciplinary approach to pain management – utilizing interventional procedures, medication management, physical therapy, surgery and psychological therapy in various combinations depending on the needs and goals of each patient.
